After studying fashion design, Catia Holdsworth moved to the hairdressing industry in 1982 and
started her apprenticeship at Gemelli & Pierre (now located in the USA). She opened her
first salon in 1988, her 2nd in 1991. In 1996 she opened Catia's Hair Design and realised her dream in
2002 by creating a one stop hair and beauty shop, Bellezza La Casa Bella.
Catia has attended all Redken seminars and education workshops over the years and has won numerous awards for product knowledge and knows each and every product like a physician knows his/her medicines. Bellezza consists of a State-of-the-art hair studio, beauty salons, nail salon, a fashion emporium, and a cofffee shop. All this is situated in the tranquille beauty of Gillitts. The most impressing factor of Catia's ambition is her contribution to Charity. Catia has held many functions at Bellezza, as well as make-overs in her area to aid: "Anti-vivisection laboratory testing on animals". "Opendoor Crisis Centre for Rape", to name a few. Her contribution to these causes is what makes Catia's Hair Design Studio an invaluable contribution to this industry. Salonsearch.co.za asked Catia what her favourite aspect of hairdressing was...?? "Colour firstly. Most hair can do with a little enhancement to say the least. I don't think a woman should have grey locks when nature forces her to. Many ageing skins exude a yellow hue.
